All of our crab cakes are hand made by our small team in Fairfield, CT.

Our crab cakes are flash frozen providing extended product life. Thaw only what you need, then cook by air frying, broiling, baking, or sautéing. We recommend air frying to a golden brown.

Note: All ovens are different so watch your cakes closely as your oven might take more or less time. Cook until golden brown. Larger sizes (4.0 oz) might take a little longer.  The mini crab cakes (.75 oz) might cook quicker.

Air Fryer (Best Method)

  1. Put cakes into air fryer for ~15 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.  Some air fryers don’t cook the bottoms well.  If so, flip the cakes and cook for another 5-10 more minutes to brown the other side. The larger sized cakes may take longer.

  2. Can cook frozen – no need to thaw.

Broil (Second Best Method)

1.     Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or butter and carefully place the cakes.

  1. Broil on low for 12-15 minutes on the middle level and watch closely to make sure they don't burn. When they are golden brown, flip them and cook them 10-12 minutes on the other side. The larger sized cakes may take longer.

  2. If you want the tops a bit more golden, switch the broiler to the high setting for 1-2 minutes

  3. When both sides are golden brown, remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving

  4. Can cook frozen – no need to thaw.

Bake or Convection Bake

  1. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or butter and carefully place the cakes.

  2. Bake at 350° for ~12-15 minutes or until golden brown on middle rack. When golden brown, flip cakes and cook them for 10-12 minutes on the other side. Convection ovens generally work better. The larger sized cakes may take longer.

  3. When both sides are golden brown, remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving

  4. Can cook frozen – no need to thaw.

Saute

  1. Thaw the cakes for a few hours in the refrigerator. Least recommended option since the cakes sometimes fall apart.

  2. We recommend sautéing in butter or in avocado oil. Avocado oil has a higher smoke point. If you use butter, clarify it first and be careful not to burn it. Gently lay the cakes in the pan & cook 4 at a time.

  3. Cook the crab cakes over a medium-high heat until golden brown, approximately 4-6 minutes on each side. The larger sized cakes may take longer. Serve immediately.

RAVIOLI

  1. DO NOT thaw ravioli’s before cooking. They will get soggy if thawed before cooking.

  2. Take them from the freezer and put into boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes.

  3. We recommend a simple sauce of melted butter, sage or thyme, and a pinch of salt.
